    Lecturer (Social Work)
    Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Sha Tin)

    Major Duties:
    (a) To perform teaching duties including supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement;
    (b) To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration;
    (c) To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials;
    (d) To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and
    (e) To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions.
     
    Requirements:
    (a) A relevant recognised degree in Social Work, preferably with a  post-graduate qualification;
    (b) A Registered Social Worker with at least 5-years’ post-degree experience in social work practice;
    (c) At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience; and
    (d) Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese.
       
    Notes:
    (1) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment.
    (2) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal working hours and/or outside campus.
